Runnin' of the Green (Island) this weekend

The 31st annual Runnin' of the Green (Island) 4-mile race takes place this Saturday in, you guessed it, Green Island.

The race starts at 10am at the American Legion Hall on Cohoes Ave. Kids races will follow at 11:30. Regular registration is closed but day of race registration is available starting at 8am. Registration is $20; $1 for kids.

The flat, fast, 4-mile course winds through the city of Green Island and offers runners a good way to kick off the spring racing season. Since Saturday's forecast calls for a high of 41 degrees, the weather will be perfect for you to leave the gray days of winter behind and run the green!
